Your Command Center
The BetterSTR dashboard is your home base for managing all your properties, guides, and guest communications. This guide explains each section and helps you navigate efficiently.
Dashboard Overview
When you log in, you'll see a grid of stat cards showing key metrics at a glance. Each card is clickable and takes you directly to that section.
Stat Cards Explained
Properties
What it shows: The number of properties connected to your account.
Click to: View and manage all your properties, create guides, or connect new properties via integrations.
Tip: If this shows zero, head to Integrations to connect your property management system.
Guides
What it shows: Total number of digital guidebooks you've created.
Click to: View all your guides and access the Guide Builder.
Tip: You can have multiple guides per property (e.g., different languages or seasonal versions).
Websites
What it shows: Number of static/website guides (non-property guides).
Click to: Create or manage standalone guides for locations, events, or general information.
Future Reservations
What it shows: Upcoming guest bookings synced from your PMS.
Click to: View reservation details, guest information, and send guides to upcoming guests.
Past Reservations
What it shows: Completed guest stays.
Click to: Review past guests for remarketing opportunities or export guest data.
Locations
What it shows: Map markers you've added for local recommendations.
Click to: Add restaurants, attractions, and points of interest to your property maps.
Media Files
What it shows: Images and files uploaded to your media library.
Click to: Upload new images, manage existing files, or organize your media.
Subdomains
What it shows: Custom subdomains configured for your guides.
Click to: Set up branded URLs like yourname.guidebook.cloud.
Custom Domains
What it shows: Your own domain names connected to BetterSTR.
Click to: Configure custom domains for a fully branded experience.
SMS Sent
What it shows: Total SMS messages sent to guests.
Click to: View message history, check delivery status, and manage SMS settings.
Products
What it shows: Upsell products you've created for guests.
Click to: Add new products, manage pricing, or view sales.
Revenue
What it shows: Total earnings from upsell products.
Click to: View detailed transaction history and earnings reports.
Left Navigation Menu
The left sidebar provides quick access to all features:
- Dashboard – Return to this overview
- Properties – Manage your vacation rentals
- Guides – Access all guidebooks
- Reservations – View guest bookings
- Contacts – Manage cleaners and service providers
- Map – Add location recommendations
- Media – Upload and manage images
- Shortcodes – Create dynamic content placeholders
- Integrations – Connect property management systems
- Upsell – Sell products and services to guests
- SMS – Send and manage text messages
- Domains – Configure custom URLs
- Transactions – View billing and add funds
- Profile – Update account settings
Quick Actions
From the dashboard, you can quickly:
- Click any stat card to jump to that section
- Use the search bar to find specific properties or guides
- Access notifications and alerts at the top
- Switch between accounts if you manage multiple
