Navigate to Map from the main menu to manage all your locations.

Adding a New Location

  1. Click Add Location
  2. Search for a place using the search bar (uses Google Places)
  3. Or click directly on the map to set coordinates
  4. Fill in the location details
  5. Click Save Location

  • Property-Specific - Only appears on selected property
  • Tag-Based - Appears on all properties with a specific tag

Customizing the Marker

Icon Selection

  • Restaurants - utensils, pizza, burger
  • Bars - martini-glass, wine-glass, beer
  • Shopping - cart-shopping, store, bag-shopping
  • Attractions - camera, landmark, monument
  • Cafes - mug-hot, coffee
  • Hotels - hotel, bed

Colors

Customize two colors for each marker:

  • Icon Color - The color of the icon symbol
  • Circle Color - The background circle color

Use the color picker or select from presets.

Assigning Locations to Properties

Global Locations

Toggle "Show on All Guides" to make a location appear on every property. Useful for:

  • Airport/transport hubs
  • City center landmarks
  • Your recommended spots across all areas

Property-Specific Locations

Select a specific property from the dropdown. The location only appears on that property guide.

Tag-Based Locations

Assign to a tag to show on all properties with that tag. Perfect for:

  • Neighborhood-specific recommendations
  • Area attractions
  • Grouped properties in the same region

Adding Tags to Locations

Locations can have tags for organization:

Google Places Tags

Automatically added when searching for a place (e.g., restaurant, cafe, tourist_attraction)

Custom Tags

Add your own tags for filtering and organization:

  • "family-friendly"
  • "date-night"
  • "budget"
  • "romantic"

Best Practices

Be Selective

Quality over quantity. Add your genuine recommendations rather than every nearby business.

Add Personal Notes

Use the comments field to share tips like "Try the seafood pasta" or "Best sunset views."

Use Consistent Colors

Create a color system (e.g., red for restaurants, blue for attractions) for easy visual navigation.

Keep Updated

Remove locations that have closed and add new discoveries.
