How to Connect Guesty

July 8, 2026 57 views Barry Murphy
Connect BetterSTR with Guesty in a few clicks using your Client ID and Client Secret. Sync your properties and reservations and give every guest a personalised digital guidebook.

If you manage your properties with Guesty, you can connect it to BetterSTR to automatically sync your properties and reservations. Every booking then gets its own personalised digital guidebook — with no manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • A BetterSTR account
  • Your Guesty Client ID and Client Secret

Steps to Connect Guesty with BetterSTR

  1. Log in to BetterSTR
Go to your BetterSTR account and open the Integrations page.

  2. Open the Guesty integration
Find Guesty in the list of integrations and click Connect.

  3. Enter your Guesty credentials
Paste your Client ID and Client Secret into the two fields. Click Connect — BetterSTR validates your credentials against Guesty straight away and lets you know if anything is missing.

  4. Sync your properties and reservations

    • Your properties and upcoming reservations sync automatically within a minute or two.
    • You can optionally sync historical reservations to use BetterSTR’s Mobile TXT / SMS marketing features.

Where to find your Guesty credentials

Your Client ID and Client Secret come from an Open API integration in Guesty. In your Guesty account, open the API / integrations area, create (or open) an integration application, and copy the generated Client ID and Client Secret. If you can’t see the API area, contact your Guesty account manager to enable Open API access.

What happens after you connect

  • Each reservation gets its own guidebook with the guest’s name and actual check-in / check-out times.
  • Add a new property in Guesty and it appears in BetterSTR automatically on the next sync.
  • Create reusable guide templates and apply them across your portfolio to keep every property consistent.
  • Generate shareable links and QR codes for specific guidebook content (e.g. appliance instructions) to place on fridges, remotes or welcome cards.
