Submit feature ideas, vote on requests from other users, and track development progress.

BetterSTR has a built-in feature request system where you can submit ideas, vote on suggestions from other users, and track the progress of features through development.

Accessing Feature Requests

Navigate to Feature Requests from the main menu (look for the lightbulb icon).

Browsing Feature Requests

The main page displays all feature requests as cards showing:

  • Title - The feature name (click to view details)
  • Description Preview - First line of the description
  • Status - Current stage in development
  • Date Added - When it was submitted
  • Upvote Count - How many users support this feature

Filtering by Status

Use the dropdown filter to view:

  • All Statuses - Everything visible to you
  • Active - Features being voted on, in progress, or testing
  • Voting - Open for community votes
  • In Progress - Currently being developed
  • In Testing - Being tested before release
  • Completed - Released and available

Submitting a Feature Request

  1. Click the New Feature button (top right)
  2. Enter a clear, descriptive Title
  3. Write a detailed Description explaining:
    • What the feature should do
    • Why it would be useful
    • How you envision it working
  4. Click Submit

Tips for Good Feature Requests

  • Be specific - "Add dark mode for guides" is better than "Make it look better"
  • Explain the benefit - Why would this help you or other users?
  • One feature per request - Keep requests focused
  • Search first - Check if someone already requested it
