BetterSTR connects directly to Zeevou, the hospitality management platform known for its automation and direct booking tools, so your properties and bookings sync automatically and every guest gets their own digital guidebook link. This is our easiest connection yet: there are no API keys to find and nothing to configure on the Zeevou side. This guide walks you through the one-click connection, what syncs across, and what to check if something doesn’t look right.
Before you start
All you need is your Zeevou login
The connection uses OAuth, the same secure approve-access flow you know from signing in with Google. You’ll log in on Zeevou’s own website and approve BetterSTR; your Zeevou password is never shared with us. The BetterSTR side is free on every plan.
Step 1 – Connect your Zeevou account
- In BetterSTR, go to Integrations and choose Zeevou, or head straight to the Zeevou connection page.
- Click Connect Zeevou. You’ll be taken to Zeevou to log in (if you aren’t already) and approve access.
- Approve, and you land straight back in BetterSTR with the connection made. Your properties begin syncing automatically right away.
Step 2 – That’s it (callbacks are automatic)
There’s nothing to copy back into Zeevou. When you connect, BetterSTR automatically registers secure Zeevou callbacks for bookings and properties, so new bookings, modifications and cancellations arrive within moments. Hourly and daily syncs run as a backstop, so nothing slips through even if a notification is missed.
What syncs from Zeevou
- Properties: every property with its address, photos and check-in/check-out times. Bedrooms, bathrooms and guest capacity are worked out automatically from your Zeevou unit types, so multi-unit setups come out right. Each property becomes its own guidebook.
- Access & arrival details: the entrance code, key safe location, door number, parking entrance code, check-in and check-out instructions and extra WiFi instructions you keep against each property in Zeevou.
- Bookings: guest name, email and phone, stay dates, arrival and departure times, adults and children, booking channel (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Expedia, Agoda, direct and more) and the booking reference.
Zeevou shortcodes in your guides
Once connected, the guide builder’s shortcode menu gains two Zeevou categories. Property shortcodes include zeevou_entrance_code, zeevou_key_safe_location, zeevou_door_number, zeevou_checkin_instruction, zeevou_checkout_instruction, zeevou_parking_entrance_code, zeevou_getting_around and zeevou_virtual_tour_link; booking shortcodes include zeevou_booking_reference, zeevou_access_code, zeevou_arrival_time, zeevou_departure_time, zeevou_adults, zeevou_children and zeevou_payment_link. Drop them into your guide once and every guest sees their own values.
Troubleshooting
- The Connect button sends me to Zeevou but I end up back without a connection: make sure you complete the approval screen while logged in to the Zeevou account that owns your properties. If you were logged out of BetterSTR at the time, log in when prompted and the connection completes automatically.
- No properties appeared: click Sync Properties on the Zeevou integration page. If the list is still empty, check the properties are active in your Zeevou organisation.
- A booking change hasn’t come through: changes normally arrive within moments; the hourly backstop sync will catch anything missed. If something still looks wrong after an hour, use Sync Reservations on the integration page or contact BetterSTR support.
- New property photos aren’t showing yet: photo changes can take up to an hour to arrive (Zeevou doesn’t notify us about image uploads). A Sync Properties click brings them across immediately.
