Enable instant guest communication in your guidebook using Tawk.to live chat. Pre-filled with guest details like name, reservation ID, and check-in/out times. Get notified and respond in real time via desktop or mobile.

You can now add real-time live chat to your Guidebooks using the free chat system from Tawk.to. When a guest clicks “Chat Now” inside their guide, you’ll receive an instant notification—on desktop or mobile—and can respond directly. Their name, reservation ID, and check-in/check-out times are pre-filled to streamline communication.

The chat widget is a great addition to General Guides too, where you may be running an event, or advertising real-estate listing and wish to communicate live with your customers.

 

To set it up:

  1. Sign up at tawk.to and create your free chat widget

  2. Copy the widget code provided

  3. Go to Shortcodes and click “Add Shortcode”

  4. Give it a name (e.g., TawkChatWidget) and paste the widget code into the “Content” field

  5. Save and copy the generated shortcode (e.g., {{{TawkChatWidget}}})

  6. Go to Property Guides

  7. Click the cog icon to edit a guide

  8. Choose where you want to place the widget and paste the shortcode

  9. Save the guide

The “Chat Now” button will appear in the bottom-right corner of your guide.

 

Optional:
In Tawk.to, go to Settings → Chat Widget → Visibility Settings and enable “Hide widget when offline.” You can also customize the chat’s style, color, and trigger button to suit your branding.
