How to Connect Airbnb to BetterSTR

You can connect your Airbnb account to BetterSTR in about three minutes. Once it’s linked, your listings, property details and reservations sync automatically, ready for you to build guest guidebooks.

How the Airbnb connection works

Our Airbnb integration is powered by Hospitable. Hospitable acts as a bridge between Airbnb’s API and BetterSTR, so we can read the property and reservation information your guidebooks need.

• The connection is free and secure. You don’t need a paid Hospitable plan.
• It’s read-only: authorising it does not let BetterSTR or Hospitable make changes to your Airbnb listings.

Step 1: Start the connection

1. Sign in to BetterSTR. On your dashboard, click Connect an Integration.
2. Find Airbnb and click Connect to Airbnb.
3. On the next screen, click Connect to Airbnb again.

A pop-up explains that the connection is powered by Hospitable.

Step 2: Authorise Airbnb

1. Click Connect My Airbnb Account. You’ll be taken to Airbnb.
2. Sign in to Airbnb if prompted, and follow the steps shown.
3. Click Allow to authorise the connection.
4. After a few seconds you’ll see a confirmation message, and Hospitable starts importing your Airbnb listings.
5. Click Take me back to BetterSTR. The pop-up closes automatically and you’re returned to BetterSTR.

Step 3: Choose your properties

Back in BetterSTR, your Airbnb properties are listed and ticked.

• Untick any properties you don’t want to create guest guidebooks for.
• Use Select All to tick or untick them all at once.

These selections don’t change anything in your Airbnb account or listings. They only decide which properties you’ll create guidebooks for in BetterSTR.

Step 4: Let reservations sync

Your upcoming reservations start syncing automatically. Allow around five minutes for the first sync to finish. After that, new and changed bookings come through on their own.
