You decide which apps guests see on the BetterSTR TV home screen, and in what order. You can also leave the door open for guests to install their own apps. It’s all in the device’s Apps settings in your dashboard.
Choose which apps guests see & set the order
- Open your device in the dashboard (Members → Android TV → Edit).
- In the Apps card, turn “Show all apps” off.
- The list of available apps appears. Tick the apps you want guests to have, and untick the rest.
- Drag the handle (☰) on each row to set the order the tiles appear on the TV.
- Save. The TV updates on its next check-in.
Only apps actually installed on that TV are listed, so the choices always match the device.
Let guests install their own apps
If you’d like guests to be able to add apps (or reach the TV’s Settings):
- In the Apps list, leave “Android Apps (app drawer)” enabled.
- On the TV, the app drawer then shows all installed apps — including the Play Store — so a guest (or you) can install new apps.
- The same app drawer is how you reach the TV’s Settings from within the guest experience.
Prefer a locked-down TV?
Turn “Android Apps (app drawer)” off and guests only see the tiles you chose — no app store, no free-roaming the TV.
