We've recently been made aware that TouchStay has blocked the ability for users to copy or transfer their existing guide content when moving platforms.
What's Happening
This change makes it significantly harder for hosts who wish to move their guides to another service, including BetterSTR.
Our Position on Platform Choice
We believe that hosts should always have the freedom to choose the tools that work best for them, and that moving between platforms should be straightforward and fair.
Preventing users from easily accessing or transferring the content they created is, in our view, not in the spirit of open choice within the short-term rental industry.
The content in your guidebook — your property descriptions, local recommendations, house rules, and check-in instructions — belongs to you. You created it for your guests, and you should be able to take it with you if you decide to switch platforms.
Our Solution
Our engineering team built a workaround and tools to help users migrate their guides into BetterSTR smoothly. (Update: This is now complete — see above.)
