Each room in your Resly complex gets its own guide, with that unit's WiFi, key number and check-in instructions
Resly is an Australian property management and trust accounting system, used by management rights operators running a resort complex and by agencies letting holiday homes for their owners. In Resly a complex is made up of individual rooms, and that is how BetterSTR sees it too: each Resly room becomes its own property with its own guide. The details you already keep against a room, such as its WiFi network, key number, car park and check-in instructions, flow into that unit's guide, so guests in unit 12 never see unit 14's password.

Resly splits its data between the room, the room type and the account (your complex). BetterSTR reads all three and combines them per room:
| Data | Synced? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms | Yes | Room name, with bedrooms, bathrooms, beds and maximum guests taken from its room type. Tenancy rooms and rooms with holiday letting off are imported but left without a guide. |
| Address and map pin | Yes | The room type's own address for holiday homes, otherwise the complex address shared by every unit. |
| Photos, description and amenities | Yes | The full room type gallery, its description and its amenity list. |
| WiFi network and password | Yes | Stored per room in Resly, so each unit gets the right WiFi QR code. |
| Check-in and check-out instructions | Yes | The instructions you keep against each room. |
| Reservations | Yes | Stay dates, confirmed, pending, waitlist and cancelled bookings. Owner blocks are not imported. |
| Guest name, phone and email | Yes | Some channel bookings arrive with a last name only. |
| Party size, agent and references | Yes | Adults and children, the agent (for example Airbnb or Direct), your Resly reservation reference and the agent's own reference. |
| Arrival and departure times | Partial | Resly has no fixed property times. BetterSTR uses each booking's arrival and departure window, or 2pm and 10am when the window is empty. You can set your own check-in and check-out times on each property, or for every property in Property Defaults. |
| Door PIN | Yes | A booking's PIN number is used as its door code until Resly marks the PIN expired. |
| Timezone | Partial | Not in Resly's API. Worked out from the state, so Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia correctly have no daylight saving. You can also set the timezone on each property, or for every property in Property Defaults. |
| House rules and booking notes | No | Add house rules once in the BetterSTR guide builder. |
Resly issues the API key. If you don't have one, email integrations@resly.com.au and ask for Open API access on your account.
On the Resly integration page, enter your Account ID (the short name in your Resly booking URL, such as resly-resort) and the API key.
BetterSTR checks both values with Resly, reads your complex name, imports the rooms and then pulls current and future reservations up to 18 months ahead.
Behind the scenes BetterSTR swaps your key and Account ID for a Resly access token that lasts 24 hours, and gets a fresh one on its own before it runs out, so you never re-enter anything. At connect time BetterSTR also registers Resly webhooks for reservations, rooms and room types. A reservation webhook carries the whole booking, so it is saved the moment it arrives. Resly doesn't document retries for missed webhooks, so once an hour BetterSTR also asks Resly for every reservation updated since its last check, carrying a cursor forward with a five-minute overlap. A booking that slips past a webhook is picked up within the hour.
Two Resly menus appear in the guide builder. Write a sentence once and each unit and booking fills in its own values. Fields that are empty in Resly are hidden from the menu.

An Account ID and an API key give every room its own guide.

It is your Resly property identifier, the short name that appears in your Resly direct booking URL, for example resly-resort. Resly support can confirm it if you aren't sure.
Make sure the Account ID matches your Resly identifier exactly and that the whole API key was pasted. If both look right, ask Resly at integrations@resly.com.au to confirm Open API access is switched on for your account.
No. Rooms marked as tenancy in Resly, or with holiday letting turned off, are imported without a guide. You can switch any individual room on or off from the Resly page in BetterSTR.
Yes. Resly stores WiFi details per room, so the guide and WiFi QR code for each unit show that room's network. The key number, car park and check-in instructions work the same way.
Yes, if you issue PINs in Resly. The booking's PIN is shown through the door code or the resly_pin_number shortcode, and it stops showing once Resly marks the PIN as expired.
