Apaleo is the open cloud PMS behind many hotels and serviced apartments. BetterSTR reads your hotels, rooms and reservations from it and gives each stay a personalised guidebook, a welcome by name on the room's TV and a WiFi QR code that works first time.
There is nothing to install. Click Connect with Apaleo, sign in with your Apaleo login, choose which properties BetterSTR may see, and your hotels and rooms come across. No app to create and no secret to copy.
Like every BetterSTR integration, it is part of the free plan. The Apaleo connection is new, so it is marked beta while the first hotels use it.

Here is exactly what BetterSTR reads from your Apaleo account. It only reads, unless you switch on guide links in reservation comments.

Apaleo tells BetterSTR about new, changed and cancelled reservations by webhook, usually within a minute. BetterSTR also runs a safety check every 6 hours, and re-reads your hotels and rooms once a day. You don't need to set anything up for that.
If you need something now, the Apaleo page in BetterSTR has Sync Properties and Sync Reservations buttons, and Full Sync pulls in the last three years.
In BetterSTR, open Integrations, choose Apaleo and click Connect with Apaleo. Sign in with your Apaleo login, choose your properties on the consent screen and click Agree. There is no app to create and no secret to copy.
No. One connection covers every hotel you grant on the consent screen, including future ones if you choose all properties. Each hotel and each of its rooms shows up in BetterSTR as its own property.
No. There is nothing to install and no approval to wait for, and on the BetterSTR side the integration is part of the free plan.
By email or SMS with your BetterSTR notification rules. If you switch it on, BetterSTR also adds the link to the comment on each Apaleo reservation, so your front desk can see it.
Every unit in Apaleo becomes its own property. BetterSTR creates them switched off so you choose: turn on the rooms that have a TV or need a guide, and their reservations sync straight away. If you like, BetterSTR can also switch a room on by itself when Apaleo assigns it to a booking from your switched-on hotel.
Apaleo usually sends changes within a minute, and BetterSTR runs a safety check every 6 hours. To pull it in straight away, open the Apaleo page in BetterSTR and click Sync Reservations.
