Property Defaults allow you to set standard values that apply to all your properties. Instead of configuring each property individually, set your defaults once and they will be used across your entire portfolio.
Accessing Property Defaults
To access Property Defaults:
- Click on Properties in the main navigation
- Click the Property Defaults button at the top of the page
Check-in and Check-out Times
Set your standard arrival and departure times:
- Check-in Time - Select from hourly options (e.g., 15:00, 16:00)
- Check-out Time - Select from hourly options (e.g., 10:00, 11:00)
These times will display on your guidebooks and can be used in shortcodes like {{check_in_time}} and {{check_out_time}}.
WiFi Settings
Configure default WiFi credentials that appear in your guides:
- WiFi Network Name (SSID) - Your default network name
- WiFi Password - Your default network password
Use shortcodes {{wifi_name}} and {{wifi_password}} to display these in your guides. You can override these for individual properties in Property Settings.
Timezone Settings
Set the default timezone for your properties:
- US Timezones - Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii
- Other Common - London, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, etc.
- UTC Offsets - For other regions
The timezone affects how check-in/out times and reservation dates are displayed.
SMS Settings
Configure automatic guide delivery:
- Send SMS to Guests - Enable/disable automatic SMS
- SMS Timing - When to send (on booking, before check-in, etc.)
Display and Theme Defaults
Icon Settings
- Icon Style - Regular, Solid, or Duotone
- Icon Color - Default color for all icons
Theme Colors
- Primary Theme Color - Main accent color
- Footer Theme Color - Footer background color
Layout Options
- Product Style - Grid or Stack display
- Guide Template - Default template selection (Accordion or Cards)
Language Settings
- Enable Language Switching - Allow guests to change language
- Default Language - Primary language for guides
Map Defaults
- Map Zoom Level - Default zoom (1-20, where 16 is typical)
- Show Map Legend - Display legend by default
- Tag Filter Controls - Enable location filtering
- Colored Marker Icons - Use category colors on markers
- Colored Circle Markers - Use colored circles
SEO and Booking
- Google Indexing - Allow search engines to index guides
- Default Booking Link - Your primary booking website
Weather Display
- Weather Units - Metric (Celsius) or Imperial (Fahrenheit)
Default Property Image
Upload a default header image that will be used for properties without their own image.
How Defaults Work
The priority order is:
- Property-specific setting - Highest priority
- Property Default - Used if no property setting exists
- System Default - Used if neither is set
Saving Defaults
After making changes:
- Click Save Defaults at the bottom of the page
- The cache will be automatically cleared for all your properties
- Changes will appear on your guides immediately
